Q - A C4D Viewport Game

Inspired by analog puzzle games from my childhood, I started to create 10 Mini Games forming the word "QUARANTINE". I tried to use Cinema 4D as a game engine and to make the games playable with an XBox Controller, using the DirectControl plugin for C4D. These Games were called "Geduldspiele" (patience puzzles) in German and I thought in the current scenario we are in, patience is one of the skills, we need to practice most. So this is the start of #c4dviewportgames This rendering is captured by using the XBox Controller and DirectControl Plugin. It's renderd with Octane, but the final games will be optimized for C4D viewport experience and will use native C4D textures (haven't had enough patience to create these yet). All 10 Games will be downloadable on gumroad soon.

This is my first C4D viewport game, you can play with XBox Controller in the C4D viewport. There are two files for download. One "plain" file, which is the gameable file and one cached animation which I recorded while playing the game with XBox Controller. This scene is also the rendered out file you finde in the video. I experienced differences with the dynamics while opening it on different computers, so just play it and create your own file and just have fun.

If you don't own the plugin, you could also play this game by using your mouse, trackpad or graphics tablet, just rotating the object "minigame_q".

This file is created with R21 and should work in R20. If you need older versions, just write me a short message.
